Following an acclaimed performance as Ramfis in Pittsburgh Opera’s Aida, Oren Gradus makes his second appearance with the company this season as Sarastro in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, November 9–17.
Oren joins an all-star cast for Mozart’s mythical and magical singspiel, which also includes Audrey Luna as the Queen of the Night, Layla Claire as Pamina, Sean Panikkar as Tamino, and Craig Vern as Papageno. The production, directed by Jennifer Nicoll, also reunites Oren with Pittsburgh Opera’s music director Antony Walker, who leads the action from the podium.
